My brother turned the big 4-0 this year and what better way to celebrate than with a surprise party! For the party, I was responsible for the cake and cupcake toppers. For the cake, I decided to combine two of my brother’s favourite things for the design – Lego and Star Wars. All Lego Star Wars minifigures were sculpted out of modeling chocolate. The Millennium Falcon was made out of fondant with a silicone mould. I wanted the cake to taste like Tiramisu so I layered coffee flavoured cake with cocoa dusted mascarpone buttercream. For the cupcake toppers, I made chocolate covered apple cider caramels. The chocolates were shaped using Star Wars themed silicone moulds which included R2D2, Darth Vader, Carbonite Han Solo, Boba Fett, Mandalorian “Krybes” symbols, Tie Fighters and Storm Troopers.
