Since my niece’s birthdays are a month apart, this year, it was decided that they would have a joint birthday party.  Having a joint birthday party doesn’t mean you have to share your cake too though!  I decided to make 2 separate cakes for the girls so that they would have something of their own for the day.

My nieces love My Little Pony.  Leah loves all the Princess Ponies, while Norah’s favourite is Pinkie Pie.  I went with Princess Celestia for Leah’s cake and Pinkie Pie for Norah.  Both ponies are sculpted out of modeling chocolate.  Leah’s cake is a Classic Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Buttercream.  Norah’s cake is a Classic Vanilla Cake with Passion Fruit Buttercream, Blood Orange Curd, and Guava Buttercream.
