I decided to make Easter cookies for Elliott’s daycare.  I’ve always wanted to try 3D cookies and so decided on 3D chicks!  To achieve the fluffy feathered look, I rolled the chicks in tinted desiccated coconut before baking.  After baking, I added a beak, eyes, and feet with royal icing.  I also made cookie bases for them to sit on and added a chocolate truffle speckled egg on the base.
