Elliott loves the movie Finding Nemo.  He’s watched it so many times that he knows the movie off by heart so it was a given that his 3rd birthday party would be Finding Nemo themed.  For the cake, I wanted to make an under the sea scene with some characters from the movie as toppers.  I decided on Nemo, Dory, and Pearl for the toppers and sculpted them out of modelling chocolate.  The top tier was a vegetarian chocolate cake with vegetarian chocolate buttercream.  I also added chocolate crispy pearls to the buttercream for an added crunchy surprise!  The bottom tier was a classic vanilla cake with lemon curd and blueberry buttercream.

I also made Jellyfish and stand-up Shark shortbread cookies for the party.
