A friend of mine is celebrating his birthday today so I thought I’d surprise him with some birthday cookies!  I’ve had these mason jar cookies for a while now but had yet to decorate them to look like mason jars.  The cookies are my melt in your mouth vanilla bean shortbread cookies and they are decorated with royal icing.
