One of Elliott’s favourite movies is Aladdin!  The release of the live action Aladdin movie lined up perfectly with his birthday so we knew a theatre birthday party would be the way to go for his birthday.  I decided to make a pillow cake in the theme of Aladdin.  To complete the look, I decorated the board to resemble the Magic Carpet in the movie and made a genie lamp topper out of Rice Krispy treats.  The genie smoke was made using cotton candy.  This cake was so fun to make and I absolutely love how it turned out!

I also made Aladdin themed cookies to put in the kids’ loot bags.

I thought I was pretty clever with these “Itty Bitty Living Space” cotton candy jars but as it turns out, when kids see cotton candy, that’s all they care about!
