Purple and Pink Unicorn
I had so much fun making this unicorn cake. I love how the mane turned out with all the different shades of purple and pink. I also love that the unicorn is purple instead of white! Happy Birthday Amelia!

Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing on Rainbows This year, my niece Norah asked for a Unicorn Cake. But not the same kind of unicorn cake that her sister had last year. She wanted a different one. My sister in law told me about a phrase that she often said ~ "Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing On Rainbows". So I googled the phrase and found the character and song (which turned out to be such an ear worm!). Meet Fluffle Puff, a pink fluffy unicorn who likes to dance on rainbows! All decorations were made from fondant. This cake was a classic chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream.
I was so excited when I was asked to make Descendant themed cookies! My son Elliott loves the Disney Descendants movies. We watched the movies on repeat over the summer! This was the first time I used my airbrush system. I've had the airbrush system for quite a while but never really thought I needed to use it. These cookies definitely needed it though. The harlequin pattern was so much easier to achieve with the airbrush and I actually like the "spray paint" look to it since it ties into the theme pretty nicely. To finish off the look, I painted the
I love making word cookies. The design possibilities are endless and they make great custom gifts, especially if they are names.
These shark cookies were made for a little boy's shark themed birthday party. His mom told me that he was a huge shark fan! I thought it'd be nice to make some 2D and 3D shortbread cookies. I love the way these turned out!
I love making drip cakes. They are usually quite simple to make but they always impress! I wanted to give this cake a two toned look in the icing so I alternated pink and purple icing when icing the sides of the cake. I loaded to top of the cake with cookies, candy straws, and lollipops. I added a custom blend of sprinkles to the base of the cake to complement all the colours.
One of Kingston's swimming buddies turned 2 and celebrated by having a Train themed party! I absolutely love it when girls choose cake designs that are traditionally "boy designs"! In addition to the cake, I also made matching train cookies. Happy 2nd Birthday Evelyn!
Today we celebrated my Mother In Law's birthday. For her cake, I decided to make an all buttercream cake with a buttercream piped peony and gilded blackberries. I really love how pretty this cake turned out. I love the pop of the fuchsia pink against the white buttercream. The cake was a eggless vanilla cake with Raspberry, Passion Fruit, and Lemon buttercream. Happy Birthday Madvi!
One of Kingston's swimming buddies turned 2! Hunter's mom asked for a safari themed cake. She said he loved parrots, so the only condition was that the cake had to have a parrot on the cake. I made safari animal figurine toppers with modelling chocolate and to bring focus onto the parrot, I had it perch on top of a stand up #2. Happy 2nd Birthday Hunter!
I love David Austen roses. They have such a romantic quality to them. This cake was made for a beautiful young woman celebrating her sweet 16. We wanted the cake to have a rustic, pretty look and I think we successfully achieved that. In addition to the cake, I also made a set of name cookies for the birthday girl. Happy Sweet 16 Sophia!
