I’ve always admired painted cakes so when the opportunity arrived to try my hand at one for my inlaws’ 40th Wedding Anniversary, I jumped at the chance.  With cocoa butter, the sides of the cake were hand painted (no stencils!) to resemble bridal henna-mehndi.  The elephants were sculpted using polymer clay and then painted and embellished with swarovski crystals.
