A friend of mine recently shared the good news that her son had gotten engaged!  She wanted to surprise the lovely couple with an engagement cake this Thanksgiving weekend and asked if I could make it in a Hindu inspired design.  I decided to make a single tier version of the Henna-Mehndi cake from last year.  The Henna design was painted free-hand on the cake with cocoa butter.  The cake had alternating layers of Classic Vanilla Cake and Classic Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Buttercream.
