My cousin and his wife are expecting a baby girl!  I was asked to make their baby shower cake and was pretty much given carte blanche as far as design goes.  I’ve seen ruffle style cakes before and have always wanted to try this technique out.  Although a bit time consuming, I’m absolutely in love with the final effect.  It’s so very girly – perfect to honour a baby girl to be!  The topper figurine is made out of polymer clay and so, can survive the test of time as a keepsake.
